Main Application >
This equipment is primarily used for effectively removing hydrogen and non-metallic inclusions from aluminum melt. It can significantly improve the purity of the aluminum melt in a short time without interfering with production processes, thereby enhancing the mechanical properties of castings, drastically reducing scrap rates of finished products, improving production efficiency, and strengthening market competitiveness.
Working Principle >
This equipment utilizes inert gas degassing technology, based on the diffusion characteristics of hydrogen. A rotating graphite rotor is used to stir the aluminum melt while introducing a measured amount of high-purity inert gas (Ar or N₂). These gases are dispersed into tiny bubbles that distribute uniformly throughout the aluminum melt. Due to zero internal pressure within the bubbles, high-pressure hydrogen in the aluminum melt diffuses into the bubbles, and some non-metallic inclusions are adsorbed onto the bubble surfaces. The bubbles, carrying useless hydrogen and impurities, rise to the surface of the liquid, completing the degassing process.
It is worth noting that smaller inert gas bubbles with higher dispersion lead to better degassing results. This equipment effectively removes small-particle impurities; however, larger particle inclusions require isolation and removal through a specialized degassing filter box. This innovative degassing method not only significantly improves aluminum melt purity but also achieves the goal of removing oxidized inclusions before casting. Compared to traditional degassing methods, it is more efficient, precise, and environmentally friendly.
Degassing Effect >
Under the following conditions:
- Aluminum melt temperature range: 690°C to 730°C
- Use high-purity inert gas (Ar or N₂, purity ≥ 99.996%) without high magnesium alloy.
Hydrogen content treatment effect:
- When the hydrogen content of incoming molten metal is ≤ 0.30 ml/100g-Al,
- The degassing result is ≤ 0.14 ml/100g-Al
Oxygen content treatment efficiency:
- When the oxygen content of incoming molten metal is ≥ 0.30 ml/100g-Al,
- Degassing efficiency is ≥ 50%
